Can I help people with old questions?

I know the answer to http://gallery.menalto.com/node/96607 -- I had to figure it out, as that thread just has a couple of un-helped people. But I appear to not be able to post comments -- perhaps because the thread is too old? I understand the desire to not bring up zombie threads all the time, but when things are unanswered, preserving them in that state forever just makes things worse since it's coming up in google search results.

Not sure how or why it was locked so I unlocked it.
Let us know if you find another.

Thanks! Sorry for being cranky... I'm having a little bit of difficulty getting my G3 to do everything my G1 did so reliably for all these years. But I figured I might as well share what I've figured out with others so everyone's experience gets better.
