I need to migrate my albums (pictures) away from Webshots and into my Gallery website. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? The ideal scenario is to simply transfer pictures from Webshots over into Gallery without having to download any special tools as that might pose a problem since the majority of Webshots tools are Windows based and I am on a MAC.

Thanks

I guess if you can get them from their server to your client then to your server you could use the sever add method.

I also recommend posting them on webshots.com, it's a very reliable website.

the problem with webshots is when you upload your pictures, they become the property of webshots. Furthermore, they alter the file extensions so anyone downloading an image MUST use webshots viewer. Even then they cannot transfer the images or do anything else with them. I have recently found a rough and very rude way about releasing my images from their captive by having to download each picture (several hundred) individually then run a image convertor to change them back to jpeg. Originals have been lost or else I would have simply reloaded them. Their system might be secure and safe but at the end of the day, they own the pictures and I have zero flexibility in doing what I like with my images. Hence, the decision to migrate to Gallery.

Cheers
