Amazon S3 bucket sync keeps stalling

I am a total newbie when it comes to Amazon S3 storage, but I have the module and storage account set up and working... to a point.

When I try to sync my gallery 3 to Amazon S3, it gets to about 3000/7971 files then stalls each and every times. When I click the RESUME button, it just sits there and the progress bar never moves.

Any help you can give is much appreciated.
