uploading photos

When I try to upload a photo I get this error message "- Server error: Error #2038 (IO)-

Yes as a matter of fact I did Dave, and the only reference I found in the FAQ's pertaining to Error 2038 had to do with multiple files during an upload, not what I asked!! I get this error when I try to upload a single photo.

C Ray Nichol, are you using SSL?
Do other upload methods work like:
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:Modules:html_uploader
or server add?

I got the HTML_uploader to work and the serveradd also.
