Upgraded from 2 to 3 - can i now throw away the files?

I have upgraded from Gallery2 to Gallery3 and imported all the files. Everything is working fine. Can i now remove the Gallery2 installation?
(Stupid questions of the day, sorry this is not my strong point)

Sure if you have fully vetted the Gallery3 out and everything works. Me personally I backed up the previous version and just stored it offline just "incase" i need something from it or something comes up that I didnt fully test out.

Thanks, yes, i've had 3 for a while. Just upgraded to 3.0.3, so i'll throw away the old one there too!
