Hi,
I just installed Gallery 3 on my QNAP TS-469 Pro and I am having a problem getting past the 1st step. Here is what I did:

1. Installed the Gallery 3 pakage from the QNAP admin screen
2. After the install I click on the link that is shown and it takes me to this screen

3. I then enter a username and password and click continue and I see this

I followed the directions and the var folder was set to 777 permissions. I haven't changed any default settings.

Does anyone know what is wrong ? Thanks.

You did not mention that you created a DB.
Did you create a DB and enter the correct criteria for the DB?

No I didn't. Is that in the install directions because I didn't see it ? Thanks.

Please post a URL to the directions you are using and I can fix.
The bold text in the installer that says you Gallery3 needs a MySQL database is not enough I guess.

LOL. The sarcasm really isn't needed. I did see that but I thought that that was what that particular section was going to do was create the database. I think it would have been better if it stated something to the effect of "Before continuing, you must have a MySQL database already created".

I am in no way complaining. I am thankful for the work put into this program. Just merely posting my experience. Thanks.

Sarcasm not intended. Where is the URL to the DOCs you used so I can make it more clear. It will take time to chnage the wording in the instller code.

Created https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/gallery/ticket/1833 for future improvements.
