[Comment Block Module] Show avatar with comment...what is this?

	Hi Dave/readers, I recently came upon Dave's wonderful COMMENT BLOCK module (http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:Modules:comment_block) and installed it on my default Wind theme. I got it working nicely, however, I am a little confused about what is meant by the "SHOW AVATAR WITH COMMENT" checkbox in the COMMENT BLOCK ADMINISTRATION page. Is that a profile picture of the person that is making the comment? if so, how does that person add an avatar to their profile? Thank you.
