Photo Rating Module?

Apparently this existed for older versions of this script? Why was it removed? Are there plans to bring it back?

I'd go for a 1-5 star system, or really anything that allows guests to rate each photo, and view the top rated photos as a [virtual] album.

I saw a "Star" module, where people can set favorites, but this is useless for me, as i wouldn't expect people to actually register on the site (unless the favorites are somehow saved for guests? even so, i'd rather have a real rating system).

Nobody from the community has stepped forward to develop a ratings module. So it seems it is not that important.

I'm not sure exactly what features/functions you're looking for, but I know that some work has been done in this direction.

I see that you've already seen the thread that was working on a new star rating module. I haven't tried it (and can't right now), but it seemed to work for the author; maybe give it another go? But if you do, try it with an exact COPY of the wind theme, not any customized theme you may be using (because it adds code to the theme files and any custom theme might change the way that works).
