Installed gallery3 click on the "start using gallery" link and the blank page loads.

Open the error log file per instructions
"gallery3/var/logs contains a set of log files where Gallery 3 dumps out debug information when it detects that something went wrong "

The log file says

"<?php defined('SYSPATH') or die('No direct script access.'); ?>"

Suggestions what to do next?

Thanks in advance.

I see no list of host in the link you provided unless I am missing something?

Click the above link I provided and it says " Follow this link for Host specific issues "
That link will bring you to http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:Host_specific_issues

See if you can get more debug info:
FAQ: How do I see debug information?
I have never tired it but others report that it works to diagnose issues.

Ok here is what the debug log file says

<?php defined('SYSPATH') or die('No direct script access.'); ?>

I also created the local.php file then called it up here is what it replied

"No direct script access"

Thanks again

Now we have reached a point where I need to contact my provider and ask him for the logs something I am not going to do he provides me with unlimited web space and unlimited web space for free to host my site am not going to bug him over something like this, V2 works V3 dont this tells me in the process of creating V3 someone built a bug into the program, no big deal it happens, please notify me when the problem is fixed I will reinstall and try again.

So if nobody has no more ideas then V3 will be deleted.

Like to say Gallery's tech support is 1000% better than coppermine, I only went to gallery because after almost 5 years of using cpg they made a upgrade with "fixes: that broke my install then were total assholes about trying to give me support, not sure if they are tech geeks that think they are better than god or their is a communication break down all I know is they suck and they are history they can stick it lmao.

Again thanks for the help and actual "Tech Support" for a FREE program I admire what you guys do and thanks for that :-)

I bet your host does not not meet the requirements of G3. Most notably Apache 2. Most 'free' hosts don't and in the end you get what you pay for. If it was true " unlimited web space" then why would companies exist like Amazon S3 and similar companies? The reason is; it might seem free and unlimited but in the end it is not.
We are not forcing you to use G3 if G2 fits your bill.

The only reason why its FREE is the guy is a member of our group he does not own or run a 'most free host' type service youe thinking about his is one you have to pay for I am getting it free out of the goodness of his heart and as a way of saying thanks for all the help I have given him over the years.

From the Cpanel
Apache version 2.2.19
PHP version 5.2.9
MySQL version 5.0.92-community
Architecture x86_64
Operating system linux
Perl version 5.8.8
Kernel version 2.6.9-101.EL
cPanel Pro 1.0 (RC1)

Thanks again

It will be hard to diagnose an issue we can't reproduce. So you get your friend/host to give you access to your logs so we can diagnose or ...
I will bookmark this thread and after each change to the code I will notify you to try the new code each time Then you can report back to see if our changes work.
