Root Page on theme Clean Canvas - need help, please

Hello,

I started to modify the Clean Canvas theme, and until now everything it's ok...

but i wanted to have an introduction page, and i created a page with Pages module, and i placed a redirection code to show that page before index.php...

after that, i started to search for some inspiration for the content of the page, here on the forum, and i found this topic -> LINK, and i want to have the same thing on my page... i refer to root page content. an example is this website -> LINK.

i tried to move some code from the root page found in greydragon theme, but without success...

please if somebody knows how to create a similar root page from greydragon theme to my Clean Canvas theme i would really appreciate...

i'm sorry, but i copied this text in page.html.php:

<? if ($theme->item() && $theme->item()->id == item::root()->id): ?>
FRONT PAGE HTML
<? endif ?>

and i can't access page /?root=yes . this was the point of "#Adding_stuff_to_root_album_only" page?

maibe you can help me with more information, please. Thank you Dave.

I don't know how /?root=yes is done you would have to look at the code as much as I would

www.jbroivainen.com uses GreyDragon theme where root page is supported
you can download the theme and look at the code then port some of it into theme you are trying to mod

The only "problem" it is not free, at least theme you are using

The free classic theme is still attractive.
But to confess the 2 premium themes in my 2 demos cost me $58 But I can use them in any project I wish. And As I stated in my demo "I like to give back to projects I use"
