I have to keep resetting my password on here, which, if i try to log in with it, it fails. So each time I time out, I have to "one time email reset" again.

If I log out and try getting back in, no dice.

This only happens on this site & of course I know how to type my password (especially 2 minutes after re->setting it).

Help?

Try clearing your browser's cookies and cache. I'm logged into this site from at least 4 different computers at nearly any point in time and have no problems staying logged in for weeks at a time.

I appreciate that you took the time to respond, but neither of you addressed my problem, you both just told me your system is fine and you can stay logged in for weeks.

I Specifically said, *IF* I log out, I cannot log back in. It will not accept my password.

So to test it, I did the one time reset, got the prompt to change the password, changed it, submitted it, logged out INTENTIONALLY then tried the password I just set and it fails. This is an issue, perhaps on my end, but an issue nonetheless

Is there a "lock out" after too many failures that doesn't actually tell the user the account is locked out? If there was/is a cookie or some browser setting kicking in old data, that "could" lock me out if the retry limit is super low?

beats me, I know it sounds stupid, but I'd like to put my finger on the cause. (I typically stay logged in for weeks too!) lol.

I can't reproduce this issue.

More of a Drupal question(s) than I care know about or answer. Perhaps there is other Drupal users that know?

If we could reproduce then it would be easier to fix.

Moving this thread out of the G3 forums and into the site specific section.

Try a different browser. Try a different computer. Try clearing your browser's cookies and cache.

I do see a bunch of login failed attempts in Drupal's logs for your account, all from your IP, I'm assuming it's your IP because it's the same IP that you've successfully logged in from.

I've had similar issues on another forum (phpbb based) and clearing my browser's cache and cookies has fixed it in the past.

Oh you know what, you don't happen to have your browser saving your login info? I see login failures for a username, using your email address.

Check your browser's saved usernames and password and clean that list up.
