Themeroller upload

I have been trying to use the themeroller upload module to add a new theme. When I select the subsequently created theme it fails. Looking at the log it indicates ui.base.css is missing. On checking its not the only one all the css files that should be under css/themeroller are not present. I think there also some other problems as by copying in the relevant css file the error log entry no longer appears but the theme still dosnt load. I followed the documentation and cant find anything indicating there are problems with this module. Am I missing something any help would be appreciated.
