Getting GR to do what I want

Hi,
I have recently installed GR on my Windows 7 machine: it works fine. My question is about how to get it to behave the way I want it to. It looks like it is uploading multiple copies of each image to the server, rather than just the one reduced resolution version that I want to post. In the target album, there is now a link to allow download of the fullsize image, which I do not want to allow, and of course this is chewing up lots of disk space.

I have looked at the .properties file and looked in the edit album page and can't see from either of these any way to modify the behaviour in this way. Any help greatly appreciated.

Peter

That's not GR doing that, that's G2 on your server. GR is uploading the file, G2 is keeping the original file and creating a resized version, the full size version and the thumb. Check the settings for your entire install under Site Admin > Themes > YourTheme or for each individual album under Edit Album > Album (tab)

Thanks for that advice, nivekiam, the relevant settings are right there.

I also found a convenient way to work around the problem from inside GR: I simply forced a resize to the default display size before upload, and that reduced the stored images to just two (obviously, this is influenced by the settings on G2).
